1/2 cup of water
1/2 cup of heavy cream*
1 teaspoon of unflavored gelatin
Combine the unflavored gelatin and the water and let sit for 5 minutes. Microwave on high for 1 1/2 minutes. Add the heavy cream and stir until combined. Let it cool in the fridge until set. You will notice once its done that some lumps have formed. I put mine on the blender for some seconds and after that the lumps disappeared.
*: You can substitute half of the heavy cream with cream cheese for a more creamy yogurt.
This recipe worked out really good for me. It tastes like a milk pudding with a yogurt-gelatin like consistency. You can add vanilla extract and artificial sweetener if you want, but i decided to make mine plain, in order to use it in many different recipes.
